Core Software

CEPOS or “Customer Enabled Point of Service” is the engine behind our software applications.

Enabling the customer to make their own purchases requires understanding of front and back of house processes, operational controls and balancing those with consumer needs for immediacy and instant access and use.

CEPOS is built around three key modules;

1. Authentication:
Who can use the system and what sort of permissions and access are given to particular customer types, i.e who to allow and when to allow.

For example, should only loyal customers be allowed to order or can anyone use the system?

The Authentication  module allows operators to control their business down to any given hour or minute in the day, set up on scheduler, allowing more or less access depending on the ebb and flow of bar ordering, pinch points, business practices and trading style.

2. Communication:
Real time offers and promotions, based on who is using the system, what time of day, male or female and previous usage.  It works closely with the Authentication module, which passes details about the customer type, permission levels and operating states.  Dependant on those considerations, relevant and timely offers are made.

3. Payment:
Payment wraps the above two modules, but also works in conjunction with Authentication.  For example, a membership card can be linked with payment, which immediately gives permissions to order and buy things.

Payment includes, chip and pin, Contactless RFID and smart card, Credit/Debit, cash or “earned credits. Payment can also be the form of Authentication, so if there is open access (anyone can use) then only successful payment receipt will trigger orders being made.

These three core modules, hugely simplified here, allow any number of applications to be offered in almost any style of trading format.  For example, food and drink ordering in exhibition halls, theatres,

restaurants, nightclubs, cruise ships, bowling alleys all require differing levels of control, because there are very different types of customers in very different circumstances and situations.
